Wishing all of my family, friends and fans a very Happy Thanksgiving and a blessed holiday!
I am always reading other author’s work. I feel we should support one another.
With that being said, I saw a suggested post on fb yesterday, read the blurb and decided I’d read the sample chapters. I noticed it said: Romance Suspense: BDSM. Well, I love romantic suspense. I didn’t know what BDSM stood for. That little voice told me I should look it up before reading, but I really liked what I’d read so far, so I thought, “I’ll find out while I’m reading.”
BDSM stands for: Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Maschism.
Sadism and Masochism mean: sexual gratification from being physically or emotionally abused.
Needless to say, it got too deep and dark for this gal!
I’ve finished writing the first draft on my current manuscript, Magnolia Grove! Approximately half, or a bit over, I’ve already gone through the first edit. Now to reread from the beginning and do some more editing.
It’s cold, even way down here in the South! This is what I call “bear weather.” The only thing it’s good for is hibernating! 🙂
I’m getting close to the end of my current WIP (work in progress). If only Cassie and Max would finish telling me their story! I have an idea for a second, follow-up book. But I need, I must, finish this one first.
Magnolia Grove is the name of this WIP, and it is based in a fictional, small southern town. Cassie Long and Max Phillips are the main characters. Cassie is an author, as I am. But she is far better and more accomplished. She’s an international bestselling author. (I’m jealous!) haha Max is a hunk, naturally. It is a romance, after all. He is also a businessman and owns the farm next to Cassie’s, which she inherits from her family.
I could, and most likely will, reveal more later. But, for now, that’s just a little taste of what’s to come.
“It’s okay to have a problem, but it’s not okay for a problem to have me.” Mary Morrissey
This struck home with me. It is something we all need to remember.
I’m starting a new blog. I will keep you updated on my current projects, give previews of what is to come, have guest authors, and do the things you’re supposed to do on blogs (if I can figure it all out). It’s time for this ole’ gal to get moving!
